What it is
Bible Berea is a mobile app built for anyone who wants to read, hear, and understand Scripture on Android and iPhone. The complete Bible is completely free inside: the World English Bible, the Berean Standard Bible, and the King James Version in English; plus the Reina-Valera 1909 and the Biblia Libre para el Mundo in Spanish.
How it works
The app centers around simple daily modules for reading, listening, and writing. Each module covers a specific passage with short exercises that help you think about what you just read. You can also explore short audio Bible stories and daily Scripture games designed to test your memory and understanding.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Bible really free in Berea?
Yes. The full Bible in all 5 translations works offline and costs nothing. Berea Plus, one payment, simply unlocks extra features like full audio playback, all study modules, extra daily games, and progress charts.
Does it work on both iPhone and Android?
Bible Berea is on Google Play now, and this page will link the App Store as soon as it is there too. Your reading progress syncs to your account across devices.
Is Berea made for a specific church or denomination?
No. The questions simply ask what the text says rather than teaching a specific tradition or doctrine.
Is Berea Plus a subscription?
No. It is one payment of $29.99 (in your local currency, as the store shows it) and it is yours for good: nothing renews and nothing more is charged. To try the app first, use the free version as long as you like. On a new phone, tap Restore purchases on the Plus page.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, anytime inside the app settings or on our website.
Help with Berea

If you still have a subscription from before, cancel it in Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android, or Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone. See refunds.
- Signed in with Apple and hid your email? Write to us from any address and tell us. We will find your account together.

AboutWho we are

Our purpose
We believe that learning and exploring theology requires time, quiet attention, and freedom from constant digital noise. PT Theology creates clean, focused tools that help readers engage deeply with foundational texts, explore big questions, and build meaningful habits of study.
Our approach
Skimming a text is easy, but engaging with questions about what you read pushes you to pay real attention. We apply this principle across reading, listening, and writing exercises. Because we build on public-domain translations and foundational literature, primary sources remain freely accessible to everyone.
The company

FAQFrequently asked questions

What is PT Theology?
We are the software division of PT Technologies focused on theology and text study. We build distraction-free tools that help people read, listen to, and explore religious texts and foundational literature at their own pace.
What apps do you build?
We are currently developing software focused on text study, with our first platform now free on Google Play. Additional tools focused on theology, memory, and reflection are currently in planning.
Are primary texts free in your apps?
Yes. Our software uses public-domain translations and sources, so foundational texts are always free to read and access.
Are your tools tied to a specific church or tradition?
No. Our study tools focus on direct text engagement rather than teaching a specific tradition or dogma.
Do you sell user data?
Never. You can read our full privacy policy to see how we keep your information safe.

1. Who we are
The controller of your personal data is PT TECHNOLOGIES, MCHJ (PT TECHNOLOGIES LLC, ООО "PT TECHNOLOGIES"), Tashkent, Uzbekistan, tax ID 313308723, trading as PT Theology (“we”). Contact: support@techatpt.com.
2. What we collect
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Account: email address, display name, profile picture if you choose one, sign-in provider ID (email, Google or Apple). With Sign in with Apple you may share a private relay address instead of your own; Apple forwards our mail to you | To create your account and let you sign in on another device | Until you delete the account |
| Progress: modules completed, answers, scores, streaks, game results, reading goals and how they went, favorite stories, prayer and study challenges, reading position, bookmarks, highlights, notes and drawings on pages | The service itself: this is what the app saves for you | Until you delete the account |
| Settings: language, text size, daily goal and the times you set for prayer | To set the app up the way you left it when you sign in on another device | Until you change or delete them |
| Purchase state: whether you have bought Berea Plus (or still have a subscription from before), and the store’s record of the purchase (the Google Play purchase token, or the App Store transaction) | To unlock what you paid for. We never see your card or bank details | Until the account is deleted |
| Writing answers: what you write in a writing module or a study challenge, sent with its passage and question | To grade the answer. It passes through our server to xAI’s model and back; neither we nor our server keep it | Not kept |
| Usage and crash data: an install identifier (not tied to your account or to any advertising identifier), app version, device model, OS version, country or region (worked out from your IP address, never from your device’s location), screens used, crashes (through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) | To find what breaks and what is confusing | Up to 14 months, aggregated |
We do not collect your contacts, your device’s location or your microphone, and see no photo but the one you choose as your profile picture. We do not show advertising and do not sell or rent personal data.
3. Reading without an account
You can read the Bible in Bible Berea without creating an account. In that case only the usage and crash data above is collected, and only as section 4 says; your reading position stays on your device.
4. Legal basis
Account, progress and purchase data are processed to perform our contract with you. Usage and crash data are processed with your consent if you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland: the app asks the first time you open it, and sends none until you agree. Elsewhere they are processed on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working. Either way you can turn them off, or back on, at any time in Settings → Privacy. Notifications are sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw in the app or in your phone’s settings.
5. Where it is stored, and who helps us
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Google LLC, USA; data centres in the United States): Authentication, Firestore, Analytics and Crashlytics. Payments are handled by Google Play (Google Commerce Ltd / Google LLC) on Android and by the App Store (Apple Inc. / Apple Distribution International Ltd) on iPhone; Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple Inc. Writing answers are graded by xAI (X.AI LLC, USA) through our server on Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA). Story, listening and Bible audio is streamed from Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which sees your IP address as any web server does. Support email is handled by our mail provider. If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the transfer of your data to the United States relies on Google’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) and on the Standard Contractual Clauses in Google’s terms. Each processor is bound by its own data-processing terms; Google’s are at firebase.google.com/terms/data-processing-terms.
6. Your rights
You can access, export, correct and delete your data. Deletion is in the app (Settings → Account → Delete) and on our account-deletion page; we complete it within 30 days. If you signed in with Apple, deleting the account also withdraws the app’s access to your Apple sign-in. For anything else, email support@techatpt.com. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK you also have the right to object, to restrict processing, and to complain to your supervisory authority.
7. Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data travels encrypted (TLS) and is stored encrypted at rest by Firebase. Access on our side is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
9. Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.

Terms ofServicePT Theology apps

1. The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and PT TECHNOLOGIES, MCHJ (PT TECHNOLOGIES LLC, ООО "PT TECHNOLOGIES"), Tashkent, Uzbekistan, trading as PT Theology (“we”), for the use of Bible Berea and any other app we publish (“the apps”). By installing or using an app you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
2. What you get
A personal, non-transferable licence to use the apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. The Scripture text (World English Bible, Berean Standard Bible, King James Version, Reina-Valera 1909, Biblia Libre para el Mundo) is in the public domain and free to read in the app. The Bible read aloud, most test modules, games and stories, the study challenges and the progress charts are part of Berea Plus, a one-time purchase described in the purchase terms.
3. Your account
You must be at least 13 to create an account. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under it. Give us accurate information. One account per person.
4. Acceptable use
Do not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the tasks, games or app code; do not reverse-engineer the app; do not attempt to bypass the purchase; do not use the apps to harass anyone or to break the law. We may suspend or close an account that does.
5. Our content
The test modules, questions, stories and their narration, game content, design and software are ours or licensed to us and are protected by copyright. Public-domain Scripture text is not claimed. Trademarks (PT Theology, Berea) are ours.
6. Accuracy
We check the tasks against the text, but the apps are learning tools, not authorities. If you find an error, tell support@techatpt.com and we will correct it. The apps are not affiliated with any church, denomination or publisher.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, add or remove features, and may discontinue an app with at least 30 days’ notice in the app; if we discontinue a paid feature you have paid for, we refund the unused part of the period. Service may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
8. Warranty and liability
The apps are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude warranties not stated here and our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the apps and delete your account at any time. We can end the agreement for a breach of these terms. Sections 5, 8 and 10 survive.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection where you live. We will try to resolve any dispute by email first; failing that, the courts of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, have jurisdiction, except where your local law gives you the right to your own courts.
11. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
12. Apps from the App Store
If you got an app from Apple’s App Store, these terms also say the following, as Apple asks:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence is to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple’s Usage Rules in the App Store Terms allow, including through Family Sharing where it is offered.
- We, not Apple, provide maintenance and support (see Support). Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; any other claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense from a failure to conform to a warranty is ours to answer, as set out in these terms.
- We, not Apple, answer any claim about the app or your use of it (product liability, a failure to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection, privacy or similar law) and any claim that the app or your use of it infringes someone’s intellectual property.
- You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or designated by it as “terrorist supporting”, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- When you use the app you must also follow the terms of any third-party service it relies on, such as your mobile network.
- Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to us: PT TECHNOLOGIES, MCHJ, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, support@techatpt.com.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

RefundPolicyPT Theology apps

1. Where you paid decides who refunds
Berea Plus is sold through Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone. The store takes the payment, holds your card details and issues refunds under its own rules; we cannot see your card and cannot move money on the store’s behalf.
2. Google Play
- Within 48 hours of a purchase you can request a refund directly from Google Play (play.google.com → Order history → Report a problem).
- After 48 hours, ask us (see section 4) and we will request the refund from Google on your behalf where our policy applies.
2a. App Store
- Apple decides every App Store refund itself. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account you paid with.
- We cannot issue or request App Store refunds on your behalf, but if Apple turns you down where our policy below would have refunded you, write to us and we will make it right another way.
3. Our policy
- Berea Plus. If you did not mean to buy it, ask within 14 days of the purchase and we refund it in full, no questions.
- Subscriptions from before. Berea Plus was a subscription until October 2026. Renewals of one still running are not refunded except where the app did not work for a substantial part of the period through our fault, or where we discontinued a paid feature; then we refund the unused part.
- Duplicate or mistaken charges are always refunded.
- Refunds go back to the payment method the store charged, and take the store’s usual time to appear (typically 3–10 business days). For App Store purchases, these rules are what we ask Apple to honour; Apple’s decision is final.
4. How to ask
For Google Play, email support@techatpt.com with the order number (GPA.xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx, in your Play receipt email) and the email on your account. For the App Store, ask Apple first (section 2a); write to us with the order ID from Apple’s receipt if you need us. We answer within 3–5 business days.
5. Cancelling a subscription from before is not a refund
Berea Plus is paid once, so there is nothing to cancel. Cancelling a subscription from before stops the next charge; it does not refund the current one. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Cancel in the store you bought it in: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android, Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this policy.

PurchaseTermsBerea Plus

How it works
- Berea Plus is bought once and kept for good. Nothing renews and nothing more is charged.
- On iPhone, payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- There is no free trial: the free tier is the way to try the app, for as long as you like.
- The free tier (the whole Bible in all five translations, today’s verse, the church calendar, the prayer challenges, the first reading and listening modules, the Word and the Seal, and one story of each theme) never expires and costs nothing.
- Berea Plus bought on Android is tied to your Google account and works on your Android devices signed in to it; bought on iPhone, it is tied to your Apple Account and works on your iPhones. The two stores do not share purchases: one made in Google Play does not open Plus on an iPhone, nor the other way round.
- Until October 2026 Berea Plus was a subscription, a month or a year. One still running keeps Berea Plus open until it ends, and renews until you cancel it: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Berea on Android, or Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Berea on iPhone.
Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

DeleteAccountBible Berea and other PT Theology apps

You can delete your PT Theology account and everything stored under it at any time. There are two ways.
In the app
Settings → Account → Delete account. Confirm by typing DELETE. The account and its data are removed within 30 days; sign-in stops immediately.
By email
Write to support@techatpt.com from the email address on the account with the subject Delete my PT Theology account. We confirm within 3–5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account (email, name, profile picture, sign-in provider ID)
- All progress: modules, answers, scores, streaks, game results, reading goals, favorite stories, prayer and study challenges, reading position, and your bookmarks, highlights, notes and drawings
- Settings, and the times you set for prayer
- Purchase state on our side
- If you signed in with Apple, the app’s access to your Apple sign-in, which the app withdraws as the account goes
What is not
- Your purchase history in Google Play or the App Store, which Google or Apple keeps under its own policy. Deleting the account does not undo a purchase of Berea Plus, which stays with your store account, and does not cancel a subscription from before. Cancel that in the store first (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions, or on iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions), or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
- Aggregated, anonymous usage statistics that cannot be traced to you.
- Records we must keep by law (for example, tax records of payments), kept only as long as the law requires.
